A click in either of the buttons on the right side of the figure will operate a symmetry class of the triclinic crystal system on a face pole in stereographic projection. Two of the 32 point groups in crystallography belong to the triclinic system. The button with label 1 operates the not centrosymmetric class, it is equivalent to a 1-fold rotation axis which performs a  turn of 360^o. The other button operates the centrosymmetric class.

A click on the circle will clear the figure and select a new face pole.

Exercise

1) A face pole coincident with the North pole is operated by the center of symmetry. Where will be located the resulting face pole?
